RIEDEL SINGLE MALT WHISKY GOBLET: CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Here are directions for optimal care and maintenance of the Riedel Whisky Goblet:

• All RIEDEL goblets and glasses are dishwasher safe. RIEDEL recommends exclusively MIELE.
• Arrange the goblets and glasses well away from glass or metal products to prevent chipping during the wash cycle. Whenever possible, make use of the appropriate basket.
• To avoid fogging, check the hardness of the water, which should be low in mineral salts.
• Remove any traces of stains or fingerprints with white vinegar.

In case of hand washing:

• Wash the glass under warm water (use a detergent and rinse the glass thoroughly).
• Glass polishing: Use two polishing cloths; never hold the glass by the base when polishing the goblet.
• Polish the goblets using two glass dryers, one for each hand. When polishing the bowl, avoid holding the chalice by the base because the stem may break.
• Stem breakage occurs due to mishandling, i.e., torque or bending pressure on the stem.
• When storing goblets, places with odors that could transfer to the goblet and alter the aroma of the wine should be avoided.

Polishing towel:

• Wash glass towels in boiling water with mild soap to remove bacteria.
• Never use a fabric softener to rinse the microfiber cloth (thus preventing grease from forming on the surface).
