AMADEO RIEDEL BLOWN GLASS DECANTER: USE

The decanter is a must-have item for any wine lover, and all RIEDEL decanters are made of fine crystal so that quality wines get the treatment they deserve. Aged wines and young wines can benefit from decanting, both to remove sediment and to make them softer and rounder.
This blown-glass decanter is shaped like a lyre, in which the wine is easily decanted from the wider opening of the vessel and poured into the glass from the narrower mouth. It holds a standard bottle of wine.

Embellished with a trail of deep blue in the glass to satisfy a discerning clientele with a product of exceptional design and unparalleled quality, the Amadeo decanter was launched in 2006 to celebrate Riedel's 250th anniversary. It is named after Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose 250th birthday was the same year.
The layer of blue color on the surface is achieved by inserting the bar into molten glass before completing the molding of the decanter.

Riedel's master glassmakers handcraft each item so that each piece possesses a unique character. Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, small differences in the weight and size of each item are possible: bubbles, imperfections or slight variations on the surface.
