All forged knives are made of martensitic steel, a different material from 'classic' 18/10 stainless steel. This is a hot forging process and therefore a material suitable for this type of treatment must be used. In fact, hot working tends to change the technical characteristics of the product, making it in some respects more delicate than other types of steel.

In order not to run into any kind of problem, all manufacturers of martensitic steel recommend that:
