COOKING AT HIGH TEMPERATURES

• Churchill's vitrified products are baked in the cookie state at a temperature of 1160° C for more than 24 hours.


• They are then glazed and baked again at a temperature of 1070° C for another 16 hours.


• Double firing ensures that the cookie changes to a glassy state, with extremely low moisture absorption.


• The second firing seals the cookie with a bright, durable glaze that ensures that no moisture absorption is produced, which would weaken it and cause hygienic problems.

The combination of these three factors-baking temperature, cookie composition, and glaze-ensures that Churchill's products, including the Classic flat plate, are strong and fully vitrified.
