The design makes this coffee grinder perfect for becoming the star of the counter and also as a gift idea, never trivial and always appreciated by coffee lovers.A BIT OF HISTORY
Thefirst imports of coffee, in 16th-century Europe, implied the need to create a tool that could grind its seeds while preserving itsoriginal aroma. To grind coffee, the first known method was to use a mortar with roasted beans. The first prototypes of coffee grinders appeared in Europe and Turkey in the 17th century. In Turkey, grinders were equipped with a mechanism consisting of a vertical shaft that operated a knurled ferrule, often with a folding handle that fit into the top of the grinder.FRANCE AND ENGLAND
The European country where this tool became most popular was France, although the first real model grinder was built by Richard Dearmann, an English blacksmith, in 1799. However, it was the American Increase Wilson who filed the patent for the first wall-mounted coffee grinder in 1818. After the Industrial Revolution, the production of the coffee grinder ceased to be an artisan activity, and a number of enterprises in the industry sprang up.If you need assistance regarding orders, returns, shipments click here.
