From a taste for classic style as a dress for cocktails, comes the Astoria Wormwood Martini glass, an evocation of the Belle Epoque.
Inspired by the past, it is for all intents and purposes a modern product, designed expressly for smooth drinks, exactly like the surface of this cup.
Slightly curved at the top, it finds an artful, fine and refined development in the stem.
The collection
The Wormwood collection of Italesse company consists of six goblets and glasses designed for the world of great cocktail bars and good mixed drinks: Astoria, Presidente, Rock-Gobbler, Alto-Ball, Galante and Fizz.
The collection is completed with the Campagne flute and an extraordinary wine goblet: thanks to the technical tasting cup, it is suitable for serving all types of wines.
The design
The collection is the synthesis of the collaboration between an opinion leader in the cocktail industry such as Giancarlo Mancino and designer Luca Trazzi.
This line, whose name is inspired by the wormwood plant (Artemisia), is an emotional journey with a strong design: capable of overcoming the minimalism that characterized the beginning of the millennium toward shapes that reinterpret decadentism.
The return of the Belle Epoque
Professionals now look to the future by seeking art deco atmospheres, evolving the glamour of the early twentieth century into a contemporary key.
A trend that is increasingly evident internationally, so much so that even furniture and interior design draw inspiration from that fascinating period. And what is one of the most widely used, studied and interpreted furnishing objects if not the glass?
