Sinuous in form, thermal in content, light in substance, tough in durability.
DE GUSTIBUS.
It probably won't be the first thing you'll think of, but we're crazy about hot chocolate with cream served in here; not to mention a nice mixed fruit salad with lots of cream ice cream; why not, even a hearty dose of hot lemon tea without burning your hands would be perfect or, conversely, a cola with ice to fight the summer heat without chilling them.
BOROSILICATE GLASS
All the features of this magnificent glass are due to borosilicate glass, a material that is highly resistant to temperature changes and washing.
Its chemical composition is such that it does not alter the acidity level of the liquid with which it comes in contact.
VACUUM THAT MAKES
The vacuum created in the cavity between the two walls allows for thermal insulation of the contained liquid and prevents the formation of condensation on the outside of the container.
The result is a greater temperature retention of the liquid, or hot food, compared to ordinary glass containers, as well as porcelain and ceramics.
The same is true for cold liquids or foods, which maintain the desired tasting temperature in this way, preventing condensation on the outer surface and consequently the deposit of water on contact surfaces and hands.
BUT HOW DOES IT DO IT?
It is done by a small hole at the outer base that is left during the production of each individual model. The item, which is produced by hand, is taken back at a later time by sucking out the air and closing the hole. To close the hole, the operator applies a small drop of glass, which, as it cools quickly, seals the work done.
Hence the presence of a small screw under the base of the container, due to the temperature difference between the cooling glass and the drop of glass to close the hole.
