DENK'ART ZALTO BLOWN GLASS WHITE WINE GOBLET: WINES INDICATED
This goblet is particularly suitable for fruity white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. Lighter, fruitier red wines such as Côtes du Rhône, Luberon, Ventoux, Sangiovese and the red wines of the Loire valley are also recommended. The delicate shape and light crystal create a perfect setting to enjoy the complexity and refinement of the most expressive white wines. The Zalto white wine glass graces any table, ensuring the full taste of the beverage.
THE CHARACTERISTICS OF ZALTO GLASSES
Lightweight and subtle, Zalto glasses are mouth-blown from the finest lead-free crystal. This Austrian brand sets the standard for world glassware and enhances the best characteristics of each wine; the aromas, nuances and fruity notes are indeed enhanced in these glasses, satisfying the eyes and palate, creating an enhanced and enriched wine experience.
Elegance, exclusivity and refinement define Zalto glassware. A thickness of up to 0.3 mm of pure hand-blown crystal without the use of toxic lead allows the wine to unfold nuances of taste, so that the glass does not transmit its temperature to the wine. At first glance, the Zalto glass may seem all too fragile to hold, given its lightness, but that's the point: crystal allows the glass to be spun extremely thin to emphasize a unique, elegant and exclusive design while maintaining strength and elasticity. Zalto glasses are scratch and opacity resistant, as well as dishwasher safe. We recommend that you do so, as washing them by hand is more likely to damage them.
DIRECTIONS FOR WASHING IN THE DISHWASHER
When washing Zalto glasses in the dishwasher:
- if possible, use a program specifically for glasses (maximum temperature: 50 degrees)
- to prevent stains use soft water (with a low mineral content)
- to avoid scratches make sure the glasses do not come into contact with other glass or metals
- leave the glasses 10-15 minutes in the dishwasher to allow steam to dry them
- use a cloth to polish them
- use white vinegar to remove stains
- if available, store them in a glass rack.
IN CASE OF HANDWASHING
For handwashing Zalto glasses:
- wash them with warm water (use detergent and rinse thoroughly)
- to polish them: use two specific cloths and during polishing never hold the glass by the foot
- stem breakage: happens if they are not handled properly = twisting force or bending pressure applied to the stem
- storage: avoid storing them in places where there are strong odors, which could be absorbed by the glass.
WASHING THE MICROFIBER CLOTH FOR POLISHING GLASSES
Regarding washing the microfiber cloth for polishing Zalto glasses:
- wash at boiling temperature (to kill bacteria) with an odorless detergent
- machine wash at a minimum temperature of 75°C (75°F)
- never use fabric softener when rinsing the microfiber polishing cloth (to prevent an oily coating from forming on its surface).
Disclaimer: Accidents cannot always be avoided, so we would like to point out that this guide is intended to provide general help and guidance and that we cannot guarantee that glasses will not break.
INSPIRATION FROM THE ANCIENT ROMANS
To achieve perfection, Zalto developed its glasses in accordance with the angles of the Earth's inclination. The goblet curves of each Zalto glass are inclined at 24, 48 and 72 degrees. This technique derives from the ancient Romans, who employed the Earth's tilt angles in the construction of holds for storing food and beverages, both to keep their contents fresh and to improve their taste. In this way, Zalto allows the wine to reach its full potential so that the best tasting experience can be achieved.
