RIEDEL PERFORMANCE CHARDONNAY GOBLET: RIEDEL PERFORMANCE
Riedel Performance is the new ambassador for fine wines. With three generations of research, development and experience in creating functional glasses crafted to the specifics of grape varieties, Georg and Maximilian Riedel set out to exceed what they had already achieved. From their efforts came Performance, an easy-to-use and technologically advanced collection of glasses made according to the specificities of varieties and grape varieties.
Performance is Riedel 's first range of wine glasses whose drinkers feature a slight optical effect. Lightweight and durable, the Performance collection features a choice of fine, shiny crystal, with slender stems and a wide, stable base. The new beverage shapes of the Performance range, combined with the optical effect, maximize the taste of the wine, making Performance a must-have collection for all oenophiles.
RIEDEL PERFORMANCE CHARDONNAY GOBLET: THE RIGHT RIEDEL GLASS
Riedel offers a choice of "variety-specific" glasses for wine lovers and "wine friendly" glasses for informal drinkers. When choosing a varietal-specific Riedel glass, consider that it is designed for a specific type of wine and that it performs best with it. A varietal-specific Riedel glass is a wine tool-"the key to wine"-that can unlock its most elusive characteristics.
How much to invest in a glass? Think about the same amount you would spend on a bottle of wine.
RIEDEL CHARDONNAY PERFORMANCE CHALICE: IS ONE GLASS GOOD FOR ALL WINES?
One glass can never provide an optimal experience for all styles of wine. The taste, bouquet, balance, and finish of a wine are affected by the shape of the glass in which it is consumed. A wine shows different characteristics when served in differently shaped glasses. The differences can be so great that some experienced wine connoisseurs have believed they taste as many different wines as there are glasses.Riedel has created shapes that specifically enhance the harmony of a wine and highlight its unique characteristics. The varietals have unmistakable flavor profiles in their DNA, which makes choosing the right glass all the more important. On the other hand, wines have multiple elements that contribute to flavor and are associated with fermentation.
Riedel has conducted extensive research on the impact of glass shape and size for all popular grape varieties, concluding that the aroma, taste, texture, finish and enjoyment of wine are maximized by the use of the correct "wine tool."
RIEDEL CHARDONNAY PERFORMANCE GOBLET: CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Regarding thecare and maintenance of the Riedel Performance Chardonnay goblet:- All RIEDEL goblets and glasses are dishwasher safe. Riedel recommends exclusively MIELE.
- To avoid misting, check the hardness of the water, which should be low in mineral salts.
- Arrange stemware and glasses well away from other glass or metal products to prevent chipping during the wash cycle. Whenever possible, make use of the appropriate basket.
- Remove any stains or fingerprints with white vinegar.
- Wash the glass under warm water (use a detergent and rinse the glass thoroughly).
- Use two cloths for polishing and never hold the glass by the base to polish the chalice.
- Polish the goblets using two dryers, one for each hand. When polishing the bowl, avoid holding the chalice by the base because the stem may break.
- Stem breakage occurs due to mishandling=bending torque or pressure on the stem.
- When storing stemware, places with strong odors, which could transfer to the stemware and alter the aroma of the wine, should be avoided.
- Wash glass towels in boiling water with mild soap to remove bacteria.
- Never use a fabric softener to rinse the microfiber cloth (prevents grease from forming on the surface).
