Polycarbonate is a very durable, practically unbreakable plastic, but unlike glass it is subject to considerable wear and tear, so it should be checked periodically (it is usually reusable up to 500 times).
A wash cycle without rinse aid and below 60°C is recommended, as high temperatures can cause environmental stress cracks. If wash temperatures are above this value, hand washing is recommended; glasses should also not rub against each other during the rinse cycle.
