The Parisienne 2-piece Satin Stainless Steel Shaker cl 25 is also known as the '2-piece' to differentiate it in jargon from the '3-piece' (aka, the Cobbler).
THE SATINED
The satin finish gives this shaker an elegant look and distinguishes it from the classic parisienne. It also keeps it in perfect order at all times as on the satin finish the footprints and 'fingerprints' are not visible!
This French shaker is commonly used, like all parisiennes, by inserting the ice in the lower part, while the upper one is tipped up and placed at its top to be filled with the ingredients of your drink, so that they stay cool during the preparation phase. When you have finished it, pour it into the stainless steel glass below already filled with ice, close it and shake using your preferred technique.
A CURIOSITY.
If the customer you are serving is seated at the bar, you can surprise him or her with a scenic effect: when you have finished shaking, leave the drink in the tin, garnish it and serve it directly into a part of the parisienne. This can be done if you have a few shakers on hand or if the venue at that time is quieter.
WHEN TO CHOOSE A PARISIENNE
Let's dispel the myth of why some bartenders choose one type of shaker over another; it basically depends on one's working convenience and not necessarily on the drink being created!
A small shaker to make mixing ingredients even more practical and precise. Use it incessantly without fear of ruining it; in fact, it is designed to be resistant to shocks, spills and frequent washing.
