From the ancient tradition of Liguria and specifically Torriglia, these canestrelli cutters are created by an artisan for RG Commerciale entirely in stainless steel.
The typical canestrelli is the 6-pointed one and is recognized as a "Traditional Italian Food"(PAT) product of ancient tradition, as they were prepared since the Middle Ages by the arts and crafts guilds (the guilds) of host manufacturers and were sold in churchyards.
Particularly renowned are the canestrelli from Torriglia, a country town near Genoa, where they are still prepared using the recipe of Maria Avanzino, who in 1820 had begun their production in the" Caffè Torriglia," located on Via Roma.
