All INGALERA, the first restaurant behind bars

-

When one finds oneself choosing a restaurant, the first question one asks is 'Do we eat out?' In itself it is a contradiction in terms if one analyzes the question literally: it is true, one eats out of the house, but still in a closed place, and there is no place more closed than a restaurant inside a prison.

We are talking about the newly opened InGalera, opened inside the Bollate prison, so BEHIND THE BARRORS.

Open for lunch, dinner but also for catering services and events on request, it is proposed as an innovative format for serving haute cuisine. The poster reads 'A restaurant like any other. Different from any other restaurant': nothing could be truer when one considers that service in the kitchen and dining room is done in turn by the inmates themselves who are partly trained by the Paolo Frisi Institute and are regularly hired.

A program of civic empowerment is then proposed that puts them in contact with the world of work and the market, while still keeping them within a limited reality as imposed by law.

The goal of proper reintegration is pursued in a relaxed, serious and professional environment that maintains all the characteristics of a high-quality restaurant, for which RG is proud to have been chosen as a supplier.

InGalera thus becomes a way to 'break out' of the usual choice of venues and let the public try a new experience that will make them be part of an often forgotten world.
