Closures at 6 p.m.: how to sustain venues and take advantage of takeaways

The new DPCM has set 6 p.m. as the closing time for venues: RGlife's tips with RGmania products on how to sustain venues and make the most of takeaway options.

The Dpcm with venue closures at 6 p.m.

The October 24 Dpcm, with the aim of trying to stem the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic in Italy, stipulated that food service activities (including bars, pubs, ice cream parlors, restaurants and pastry shops) are allowed from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m.-after which the consumption of food and drinks in public places open to the public is prohibited-and table consumption is allowed for a maximum of four people, unless they are all cohabiting.

With the exception of hotels and accommodation facilities - in which case and limited to their own customers there are no time restrictions - after 6 p.m. only catering with home delivery remains allowed for both packing and transport activities, and until midnight the take-away mode.

Solutions for a breakfast takeaway

If you want to avoid possible gatherings, but you care about supporting venues at such a tough time and in this hard-hit industry, RGlife offers a number of solutions from our RGmania site, starting with the first moment of the day, which is breakfast: why not think about a take-away breakfast?

At your local coffee shop, or your favorite bakery, interesting options include cappuccino cups, preferably with lids and cup holders, and feel-green paper brioche bags.

Lunch break: area food or doggy-bag lunch

On a lunch break, there are two options: go to thearea grocer, increasingly focused on convenient and eco-friendly paper bags for pizzas, flatbreads or burgers; or alternatively eat lunch at establishments that scrupulously comply with health and hygiene regulations, but at the same time allow (and there are more and more of them) doggy-bagging, i.e., taking leftover food with you in special trays for leftovers-whether aluminum or polypropylene-or why not take advantage of the current trend, namely poke bowls, containers with lids for take-away salads and other take-out food.

Homemade dinner with takeout from favorite restaurants

What about dinner, unfortunately not currently allowed in the places you love or those you had planned to discover? At the moment you have to be content to consume it at home, supporting the take-away service of favorite restaurants, which of course you will want to see regularly open when the health emergency is finally over.

Containers for soups and stews with their lids, mixed fried foods, mussel peppings and main courses in general are essential for taking meals home in comfort and safety, not to mention the ability to pick up in the most suitable trays desserts, pastries and the often underestimated needs related to children's food.

Cocktail takeout: cold beer or after-dinner drinks?

During the week but especially on weekends, usually the time of the week when people are most likely to go out for a drink and there is more room for conviviality, with no more opportunities for long aper itifs or extended apericinis, keep up the tradition of the aperitif thanks to those who have arranged for cocktail takeout, from cold beers to after-dinner drinks.

As you can see, the possibilities are there--try to take advantage of them to help local venues get through the second wave of Coronavirus and related restrictions as unscathed as possible.
