Eme Cutlery: design, use and features of EME products

Eme Posaterie is one of the most solid and interesting Italian companies on the cutlery front: find out about its history and mission, as well as the design, use and features of EME products on RG Mania.

Eme Flatware, cutlery for clubs and beyond

Cutlery plays an increasingly important role for venues. Service can no longer do without comfortable and sturdy cutlery that is innovative, of high quality and has the right quality/price ratio; the basis then requires production with certain standards, materials that respect the environment and meet the requirements of non-toxicity and suitability for contact with food: all prerogatives of Eme Posaterie - owner of that SR brand that with elegant and sophisticated packaging shows the possibility of cutlery also being gift items.

Eme Posaterie, the history

Founded in 1974 in Lumezzane, in that province of Brescia that has historical roots in metalworking, EME stands for Egidio Mori (the founder) Elio; in the late 1980s, the patron decided to focus on the production of cutlery with colored resin handles, arousing very strong interest and enabling the company to position itself in a short time at the top of world markets. Posaterie Eme pays great attention to the design, function and quality of its products-high thickness, best 18/10 steel, use of non-toxic synthetic materials, careful cleaning and polishing processes. The second generation is successfully continuing the growth process, so much so that the Eme Innovation brand was born in 2008.

EME, brand and respect for the environment

Today, therefore, Eme Posaterie presents itself with three brands - EME, SR, Eme Innovation - whose items for the kitchen and table reflect the essence and meaning of Italian style in the world. EME's philosophy is to ensure that future generations can meet their needs through three pillars: social equity, sustainable economic development and respect for the environment. It is interesting to delve into this last aspect, since the Brescia-based company's goal is aimed both at raising workers' awareness for a responsible attitude toward the environment, and at reducing water consumption and the amount of waste, as well as solutions to reduce noise pollution.

EME cutlery, processing and characteristics of stainless steel

The stainless steel, a totally recyclable material, of EME cutlery and EME products, for example, has a low environmental impact during both production and end-of-life. The processing steps are followed with the utmost care, respecting the metal's endurance so as not to alter its physical characteristics. Shape, thickness and surface checks ensure that the product is suitable for further processing; only the product qualified at the final check is defined as qualified to be guaranteed. Processing is defined as cold working because all deformations are carried out without heating the material: shearing, roller rolling, trimming, degreasing, coining, polishing, washing, checking and packaging are the cold working stages of EME coil cutlery.
