Lehmann glasses and the art of enhancing the flavors of wine

-

'The houses of Wines, Champagnes and Spirits need time for the elaboration of their cuvées, so it is necessary to offer them suitable tasting tools. Their work must be respected!

Over the years, Lehmann SA has put its knowledge and experience at the service of the legacy of French Wine.'

This is the official presentation that the Lehmann company makes of itself. We are talking about a company that works with one of the world's top sommeliers, Gerard Basset, to create glasses that are ideal for appreciating great wines from around the world to the fullest.

Why did RG choose Lehmann? The reasons are many and they are all excellent.

Simple and immortal guarantees of quality

A great company always follows its values, and Lehmann has made those values its strengths.

First and foremost, winemaking expertise, that is, creating collections that reflect the expression of great professionals.

Next, innovation, especially in devising shapes that positively influence the way wine is tasted.

Aesthetics, namely light, subtle and elegant curves.

Practicality, never overlooked, of glass designed for everyday use.

Relationality, or the meeting of the needs of individual producers to maximize the qualities of their wines with the best glass.

Sharing, pleasure, emotions, these are what Lehmann's ideals are.

The blown glass

Glassblowing is an art that takes us back 2,000 years and harkens back to high levels of rigor, patience and knowledge. Working in association with Master Blowers, Lehmann Glass has designed original and modern collections made in accordance with traditional methods. Their blown glass glasses are of the highest quality and always allow for the creation of new shapes.

The fineness, luster and quality of blown glass make every single moment spent tasting wine unique and special.

The blowing machine

As we all know, it is no longer possible to produce 100 percent pure crystal as it was necessary to add lead in the processing to do so. Lehmann Glass thus investigated HP technology, from which lead-free high-performance crystalline glass is obtained.

The glass we are talking about is extremely brilliant and clear, ultra impact resistant, with unbeatable resonance, and incredibly robust.

And still elegant, practical and perfect for extracting all the winemaking characters while tasting.

Great brands

All the biggest Champagne producers have worked and are working with Lehmann because they believe in this strong and established reality. Dom Pérignon, Bollinger, Perrier-Jouët, Taittinger, Pommery, Veuve Clicquot, G.H.Mumm, Louis Roederer just to name a few.

Washing

The most precious jewelry should be treated with the utmost care, and so should Lehmann glasses, and to do so just follow a few simple steps.

First of all it is good to wash them under lukewarm water, detergents are not necessary. Then lay them upside down on a cloth. If you want to get the maximum shine you should steam them over boiling water. Use 2 microfiber towels to dry them: hold the goblet with one hand and dry it with the other. DO NOT rotate the base by turning in the opposite direction so as not to risk breaking the goblet.

Finally enjoy a perfect shine!
