Organic straws and coconut bowls: sustainable summer with RGmania products

Summer time, time... of natural products! Environmental sustainability and the preservation of the planet are increasingly 'hot' topics, obviously not only because of the arrival of the summer season.

For some years now, a new sensitivity has been developing among venue owners, who are increasingly adhering to the use of biodegradable and natural products; these possess the hygiene and use characteristics of plastic ones, but contribute significantly to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions; biodegradable products can then be disposed of through a natural decomposition process.

In this regard, RGLife has selected for you from among the newest biodegradable straws and coconut bowls on RGmania.

The Cereal bio straws in assorted colors - on our site in the size of 20x0.6 cm e 15x0.8 cm - are composed of rice flour and tapioca starch, raw ingredients free of chemical additives. Edible, natural and totally compostable, growing and storing these straws in rice paddies helps farmers preserve natural ecosystems. The rice from which they are made is first washed, then steamed at a high temperature, finally combined with tapioca starch, extracted from the root of cassava, a tuber native to South America, which helps form the sturdiness of the straw.

Another type of biodegradable straws are grass straws made from dried grass - on RGmania in sizes from 20x0.6 cm e 15x0.5 cm - the most ethical, natural and sustainable in our assortment, non-deformable and free of chemical additives or other mixed materials. The dried grass from which they are made is in fact lepironia articulata, a variety of plant that grows along the Mekong River delta in Vietnam. Grown ethically by local people, the plant is cut, washed and sterilized and, once dry, cut again to give it the proper size.

Staying in the same groove, we move on to the coconut bowls, bowls treated for food contact with indicative sizes-being totally natural, made from polished coconuts, zero impact and disposable in nature-and characteristics that diverge slightly from each other.

The raw bowl wild in brown coconut is ideal for serving tiki cocktails, but also and especially yogurt with fruit, nutritious and why not 'Instagrammable'; the iconic smooth bowls in brown c oconut-both in size XL and in the 'standard' - are instead perfect for poké, but also tiki cocktails and seasonal salads.
