Sustainability and ecological transition in RGMania expeditions
World-wide awareness of the issues of eco-sustainability and ecological transition as a result of climate change have been embraced by RG Commercial, and to its web 'rib' RGMania, which has introduced the first models of disposable products made of compostable materials since they were first proposed on the market several years ago, although only recently have they reached the general public.
Environmental issues have always been a priority of ours, which is why we would like to explain how we package customer orders and the reasoning behind shipping choices.

Paper or plastic? Recycling materials!
At RG, paper newspapers are collected daily based on the availability of those who wish to drop them off at our warehouse to providepackaging for the items, with the dual purpose of protecting them and giving them a second life.
Dozens of orders also arrive from suppliers at our company every day, which are used to supply the products you buy from us or simply to be able to keep the necessary stock. Packaging is not thrown away, but kept aside to be used at the appropriate time to package your packages. Filling paper, protective cardboard, various packing materials, inflated plastic pads to create thickness: depending on what arrives, warehouse workers arrange in boxes material that tends to be recycled in preparation for shipment.
In the company, as well as for newspapers, we do not purchase new plastic, but use only that which arrives from outside. The only exception is the bubble wrap, that roll of plastic 'with bubbles bursting' that is used to protect more fragile items, such as glass, which without proper packaging would be at risk of breaking.
The only substrate we use on a regular basis is a type of cardboard that is thicker than paper but thinner than classic cardboard, which is properly treated with a specific machine to be crumpled and thus be maximally effective for packaging and wrapping.
How do you deal with packaging disposal?
RG also has as many as three sizes of branded boxes, sizes calculated on the basis of the most common order volumes, but again, where possible, we try to use recycled boxes so as not to have new ones produced all the time and to limit consumption.
Our company does its part, choosing reuse, proper disposal and production from scratch only where strictly necessary, but we leave you with a question: what happens to our packaging when it reaches your premises and homes? Do they get disposed of or reused? Let us know on our Facebook page and Instagram profile:-)
