The e-commerce search engine
The search engine is one of the historical Achilles' heels of e-commerce; the fact that in the past, and in some cases even now, using the search tools on the site where one wanted to buy was difficult, when not impossible, often discouraged users from continuing browsing and the eventual purchase process.
Both because we are consumers ourselves and because we have always tried to put ourselves in the shoes of our customers, we have always tried to pay close attention to and constantly improve RGmania's search engine in order to make it as easy as possible to find products on our site.
RGmania's search engine
Starting with the e-commerce search engine, the bar you find at the top of the RGmania home page which, thanks to theAlgolia API, comes to meet what you are looking for, thanks to a constantly updated list of synonyms (e.g. "Lemon Wrap" can also be found by typing "Lemon Retina") and the answer as consistent as possible to the 'query' with respect to some typing errors (e.g., "Glasses" with 3 "C's"), but also by not showing items that are currently unavailable and giving the possibility to see all those that come closest to the query.
Even if we go outside the scope of technically said search, typing in the toolbar further helps are the categories and brands on the site that most closely match your query.

RGmania's search filters.
An additional, and in our opinion very useful, help is the e-commerce search filters. In our case they intervene prominently at the top and after the first query to further narrow the field, in this order: category (in the site tree), brand (the available brands), color, material, product type and tags (not always present) and the price range, always with the possibility of selecting other items, deselecting or resetting them and then restarting with the search for the desired item.
What about you, have you ever used RGmania's search bar and search filters? Try them out to believe!
