Milan, January 2016 - As part of the Authentic Caribbean Rum campaign,
WIRSPA has launched a new publication for press and trade professionals
entitled "Discovering Authentic Rum," an overview of all the brands that are part
of the ACR brand, with information on the country of production, tasting notes and the
characteristics of each rum. The guide also includes recommendations on how to best enjoy
best each of these products, in classic cocktails or other drinks suggested by members of the

The publication contains a general introduction to the rum category, the
related specifics of the ACR brand, and the stages of rum production, from the cane
sugar to the bottle. Much of the publication is devoted to a description of
each ACR brand.
The guide "Discovering Real Rum" describes how to best enjoy the various rums in the
range, neat or in a cocktail, thanks to their diversity and great versatility. Finally, a
section is devoted to the presentation of the members belonging to the International Panel.
Following the launch of the "Decade of Rum," the "Discovering Real Rum" guide continues the
educational path of the ACR campaign, which aims to train professionals in the
industry and rum enthusiasts.
