It introduces itself with a slogan that sounds like something out of a 1960s Carousel to one of Italy's rice-growing excellences.
The modern and functional Zaccaria farm is located in Salussola in the province of Biella and covers an area of 210 hectares, all grouped around the farm center, the Margaria farmstead where all the operations of the rice supply chain, from cultivation to husking and packaging, take place. The farm is in a special area, Baraggia, a piedmont foothill area of Piedmont located at the foot of the Biella Alps and Monte Rosa. The Zaccaria company's soils are historic; in fact, in Arro di Salussola and on the company's estates, rice was already being grown in the 1500s with excellent results.
The company's goal is the search for the best production and the highest quality profile. In addition to its territorial vocation, it is a company that can boast many other aspects that make it modern, functional and endowed with the necessary experience to produce rice at the highest quality levels, achievable first of all thanks to the work carried out in the field and from the reduced density of sowing to the selection carried out at harvest time, which is always done when fully ripe, operations that do not always pay off from a production point of view, but are a guarantee of quality.
Among the varieties produced are Carnaroli, Vialone Nano, Sant'Andrea, Baldo and Bariggia's Nero integrale. A wide range that allows the creation of any type of dish from traditional risottos to soups, from timballi to salads and desserts. To learn more visit www.risozaccaria.com
