This Lodge mini dish is in fact suitable for both hot and cold recipes - it can be pre-chilled - from appetizers to side dishes why not desserts.It is ideal both for cooking-the cast iron heats slowly and evenly-and for serving, thanks in part to a design that does not go unnoticed.
HEAT TREATMENT AND MAINTENANCE
Perfect for venues that want to stand out but also suitable for home settings, the patented heat treatment process prevents rust. Made in the U.S.A., the Lodge cast-iron mini pyrex dish is to be hand-washed and dried even before first use. It is recommended that it be rubbed with a light coat of vegetable oil after each wash, enough to restore its luster, to keep the cast iron as protected from moisture as possible.

PRODUCT CARE.
WASHING: Wash cast iron cookware by hand. A small amount of soap may be used.
If necessary, use a scraper. For stubborn residue, boil some water for 3-5 minutes, then use the scraper after the pot has cooled.
DRYING: Dry promptly and thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
If you notice a small black residue on the towel, it is perfectly normal.
CARE: Rub a very light layer of cooking oil on the surface of the pans.
Use a paper towel to wipe the surface until no more oil residue remains.
If there is any rust on the product, it should be treated with steel wool, rinsed, dried and rubbed with a little oil.
