WHAT IS PEWTER?
Pewter is composed mainly of tin, with a small amount of copper and antimony. In modern alloys, lead has been totally eliminated as an element harmful to health, and strict regulations are dictated by the European Union regarding the composition of pewter. Antimony and copper are carefully dosed so that their use for tableware can be guaranteed. Cosi Tabellini's alloy meets all EU and US standards for food use. The amount of tin in our alloy is always over 92%, while antimony and copper may vary depending on the object. The latter increase the stiffness of the alloy, which would otherwise be excessively malleable for some particularly long and narrow items.

So Tabellini has an extensive sales network and distribution centers in Italy, the UK, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Africa and the USA. Italian craftsmanship fears no comparison.
