The Pekoë collection, in particular, is the result of extensive technical research conducted in collaboration with Revol. Pitchers, sugar bowls and other bowls, plates, teapots and bamboo trays were introduced alongside the original cups to create the ideal tea-time vessels, inspired as much by the gourmet aesthetic of French tea as by the pure lines of Asian tradition.Decidedly functional, the exterior pattern-a heat sink inspired by LED lamp fans-allows this handle-less cup to be held in the hand and ensures complete stability on the saucer on which it sits perfectly. Treated on the inside with an aged silver or dark metal enamel, the mug retains its rough black paste exterior, polished to give a soft, sensual feel when held. Instead, the teapot features a bamboo handle reminiscent of Japanese teapots, hooked to the central body firmly but with fine elegance.
