DURATION
- Rounded edges increase resistance to chipping.
- The handles and spouts are then designed to make them easier and safer to use in catering.
- A high percentage of Alumina is also used in all Churchill products to make them more durable and strong. The dishes have a smooth, enameled base that helps prevent scoring when stacking and does not absorb water during frequent washing.
QUALITY AND DISHWASHING
- Churchill is one of two manufacturers accredited by the British Standards Institute with the BS4034 certificate, which includes cracking on glaze/durability and glazing/water absorption.

BAKING AT HIGH TEMPERATURES
- Churchill's vitrified products were baked in the cookie state at a temperature of 1160 °C for more than 24 hours.
- They are then glazed and baked again at a temperature of 1070 °C for another 16 hours.
- Double firing ensures that the cookie changes to a glassy state with extremely low moisture absorption.
- The second firing seals the cookie with a shiny glaze that is extremely durable and ensures that no moisture absorption is produced; something that would weaken and cause hygienic problems.
