The areca is an Indian palm(Areca catechu) up to 30 m tall, with fragrant flowers and globular, egg-sized fruits that contain an alkaloid-rich, nut-like seed.The leaves are selectively harvested during dry periods, without the need to cut down trees to extract them, and undergo a process of cleaning, drying and pressing.
Because it is a natural material, its residues decompose quickly without generating toxic waste or pollutants.
